City Slickers

Acoustic Acts, Jazz & Swing Bands, Trad Jazz & Dixieland

Founded way back in the 1990s, the City Slickers provide high quality jazz entertainment for a wide range of public functions. Whatever your chosen theme, their lively programme including traditional vocal jazz, swing, jive, blues, smooth ballads and skiffle means there is something for everyone. They even play Wonderwall by Oasis!

Dressed in their dapper striped attire, the chaps are available for weddings, christenings, house parties, corporate events, carnivals, village hall events, and golf club socials. Playing for VIPs at the drop of a hat, their entertainment appeals to all and creates an ambience that puts everyone in the party mood!  Equally at home performing acoustically for background music, the music can be amplified for larger parties with the use of a full PA system. The usual line up comprises of both clarinet / saxophone, guitar / banjo and double bass or bass sax (vocals included). Other instruments can be added if required to meet your requirements.

Just a quick note to say what an utterly fabulous time I had at my party! The band was absolutely sensational and had everyone foot tapping and singing along. I loved them and 3 lovely gents too" — Jane
No event would be complete without the City Slickers. Firm favourites guaranteed to please with their foot-tapping happy jazz, superb musicianship and a repertoire to match. They leave you wanting more and there is no commendation higher than that — Nick
We booked the City Slickers through Silk Street Entertainment after seeing them perform at another event. Prior to our wedding I had contact with the Act who put my mind at ease. The band all turned up in very good time and were extremely well presented and dressed very appropriately for the style of their music. Throughout the day the guys played exactly what we wanted to an extremely high standard. Many of our guests commented on how good the band were and even asked for contact details. They really made our day complete and I would have absolutely no problem in recommending them to anyone. Overall a faultless performance from start to finish. — James
We had a jazz concert for a fundraising event. It proved a great success and 2016 will be our third year of booking The City Slickers. Great musicians with a sense of fun and a wide appeal to everyone. — Kelvin
